VP of Sales
Boardable helps accountability-driven organizations make board work clear, organized, and provable.
We serve nonprofits, public education, healthcare, associations, government-adjacent organizations, and other teams where strong governance, clear decisions, and board trust matter. Boardable brings preparation, meetings, approvals, decisions, documents, assignments, and follow-through into one system so organizations can govern with greater clarity and accountability.
About the Opportunity
Boardable is looking for a VP of Sales to build the sales engine for our next stage of growth.
Boardable has an established customer base and a working, primarily inbound sales motion. The opportunity now is to build on that foundation and make our new-business engine more predictable, productive, and scalable: win larger and better-fit customers, improve the quality of new ARR, determine which pipeline motions can scale efficiently, develop a stronger sales team, and create greater predictability in growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role. We want a builder and coach who enjoys working directly with the team, inspecting deals and pipeline, improving execution, developing talent, and building the systems and operating discipline required to scale.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Sales will own Boardable’s new-business sales strategy and execution and will have substantial influence over how our go-to-market strategy evolves. This leader will help shape sales strategy, team structure, process, channel strategy, talent, and execution while partnering closely with Marketing, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, Product, and the executive team.
The goal is not simply more bookings or bigger deals. It is to build a sales organization and operating system that consistently produces valuable, efficient, and durable revenue—and becomes stronger and more predictable as Boardable grows.
What Success Looks Like
In the first year, the VP of Sales will:
Consistently achieve or exceed Boardable’s new-business ARR plan.
Build a forecasting and pipeline-management system the leadership team can trust.
Improve win rate, customer fit, and quality of new ARR.
Determine the right mix of inbound, outbound, account-based, partner, and other pipeline sources based on economics and performance.
Raise sales-team productivity and talent density through coaching, accountability, hiring, and performance management.
Build a repeatable sales operating system capable of supporting Boardable’s next stage of growth without depending on individual heroics.
What You’ll Own
Own Boardable’s new-business sales strategy and execution and deliver against revenue targets.
Lead, coach, develop, and hold accountable a high-performing sales organization.
Build and continuously improve the sales process, qualification standards, methodology, opportunity management, and operating cadence.
Create accurate forecasts and clear visibility into pipeline, risks, opportunities, and expected bookings.
Improve pipeline quality, conversion, win rates, sales velocity, representative productivity, and overall sales efficiency.
Develop strategies to win larger, better-fit customers while protecting customer fit and long-term revenue quality.
Determine which pipeline channels produce attractive economics and build the targeting, messaging, process, and accountability necessary to scale them.
Coach the team directly on discovery, value selling, objection handling, deal strategy, negotiation, and closing.
Partner across Marketing, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, and Product to sharpen ICP and messaging, improve demand generation, strengthen customer handoffs, and turn customer and market insight into better go-to-market decisions.
Use AI fluently to improve research, productivity, coaching, and deal execution and to help customers understand the value of Boardable’s AI capabilities.

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a proven B2B SaaS sales leader who has built and improved sales organizations—not simply managed an established one.
The strongest candidates will bring:
A track record of achieving or exceeding B2B SaaS revenue targets.
Experience leading a sales organization through growth, transformation, or increased operating maturity.
Demonstrated success building repeatable sales processes, qualification frameworks, forecasting disciplines, and operating cadences.
Experience operating in a lower- or mid-ACV SaaS environment and successfully moving toward larger, higher-value customers.
Strong understanding of inbound and outbound sales motions and the judgment to invest in channels based on economics and performance rather than assumptions.
A history of hiring, coaching, developing, and holding high-performing sales teams accountable.
Strong command of SaaS sales economics, including ARR, pipeline, win rate, sales velocity, quota attainment, CAC, and sales efficiency.
A hands-on leadership style—you are comfortable discussing strategy with executives and then working directly with a representative on discovery, pipeline, deal strategy, or forecasting.
Strong customer curiosity and the ability to turn customer, competitive, and market insight into better execution.
Practical AI fluency and curiosity about how AI can improve selling and the value we provide customers.
Experience selling into nonprofit, public sector, education, healthcare, associations, or other mission-driven organizations is a plus.
Benefits
Boardable offers unlimited PTO, 11 recognized holidays, health/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) with employer match, paid parental leave, technology and home-office support, lifestyle benefits, charitable-donation matching, an annual team offsite, sabbatical leave after three years, and dedicated time to serve on a board.
Working at Boardable
Boardable is a collaborative, curious, and ambitious team working to improve how boards and leadership teams prepare, decide, govern, and follow through.
For the right sales leader, this role offers an attractive combination: an established SaaS business with real customers and a working sales motion, paired with the opportunity and authority to build a sales organization that can help define what Boardable becomes next.
This role is not about personally carrying the company forever. It is about building the people, systems, discipline, and operating rhythm that make strong sales performance increasingly repeatable.
You will not be stepping into a finished sales machine.
You will help build one.
